I used to do gymnastics. I couldn't now, it's been too long... but I still skate.

One arm shifts, hooking around Adrienne's waist, and then extends her other, in front of them. She pushes it out at a right angle, then balls her fist to make all those corded muscles of her arm stand out, tensed and taught. ]
More than one way to skin a cat. Save punching for another day. Ain't always about hurting them, mostly about mitigating what you take. Try to always get your arm in the middle, if you can. It'll fucking hurt taking something there. But it ain't your throat, your chest, your head. Can survive it, but most people don't survive a knife in the eyeball.
[ The proof is there of her advice, that she does live by it. Her arms have more than enough scars, dug in across the outside of her forearm, combined with the odd burn and teeth marks that litter from wrist to elbow. ]
